WENDOVER MUSIC

Wendover Music was started in 1995, as an arts development project from St Mary's Church Wendover and the people of Wendover in partnership with Aylesbury Vale Leisure Services. There are four concerts each year, in April, May, June and July, with artists of both national and international acclaim. All concerts take place at St Mary's Church, Wendover, well known for its superb natural acoustics.

EMMA KIRKBY with ANTHONY ROOLEY [lute]
Emma KirkbyA reutrn visit from Emma Kirkby, who came to Wendover last in 2004 with English Baroque. With Anthony Rooley, she will sing English lute songs by, among others, Dowland and Coperario. This concert is sponsored by the Wendover Community Trust.

JOANNA MacGREGOR [piano]
Joanna MacGregorThe programme will Include preludes and fugues by Bach and Shostakovich, and tangos by Piazzolla; Joanna MacGregor came to Wendover last in 2003 when she performed to great acclaim Bach's Goldberg Variations. This concert is sponsored by Wendover Music's patrons.

Young Concert Artists' Trust New Artists
ADAM WALKER, BARTHOLOMEW LaFOLLETTE and JOHN REID [piano trio]
Adam Walker [flute], Bartholomew LaFollette ['cello] and John Reid [piano] perform duos and trios by Haydn, Brahms, Prokofiev and Weber.

BRODSKY STRING QUARTET
Brodsky String QuartetOne of the world's most prestigious string quartets make a return visit to Wendover, and will perform quartets by Mozart, Beethoven, Puccini and Turina. This concert is sponsored by the Lord of the Manor, Mr Lionel Abel-Smith.

Concerts in 2008 will start at 8.00pm, as in previous years. However, please make note that in 2009, concerts will start at 7.30pm.

ST MARY'S
CHURCH

The beautiful parish church of St Mary's has been at the centre of community life in Wendover since the thirteenth century. Today it continues to be a place where music, beauty, faith and life meet and take the heritage of the past to future generations.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This year's A.G.M. will take place on Saturday 01st March 2008 at St Mary's Church in Wendover. Following the formal business, a solo 'cello recital will be given by Pei-Sian Ng, including unaccompanied Bach. This recital is sponsored by the Countess of Munster Trust, to whom we are very grateful.
