WENDOVER
MUSIC
Wendover Music was started in 1995, as an arts development project from St Mary's Church Wendover and the people of Wendover in partnership with Aylesbury Vale Leisure Services. There are four concerts each year, in April, May, June and July, with artists of both national and international acclaim. Concerts usually take place at St Mary's Church, Wendover, well known for its superb natural acoustics; this year, because of building works, our first concert is to take place at St George's Church RAF Halton.
April 09th 2011, 7.30pm, this concert will take place at St
George's Church, RAF HaltonJULIAN LLOYD WEBBER

& PAM CHOWHAN [piano]  A
favourite performer celebrating his sixtieth birthday this year, with
music by Bach, Benjamin Britten, Faure, Debussy, Rachmaninov and William
Lloyd Webber, the 'cellist's father. This is Julian's second visit
to Wendover.
May 14th 2011, 7.30pm, this concert will take place at St
Mary's Church, Wendover BENJAMIN GROSVENOR

 This
award winning eighteen-year-old virtuoso, a BBC Young Musician
of the Year winner in 2004, performs Scarlatti, Chopin, Albeniz,
Mompou and Liszt.
June 11th 2011, 7.30pm, this concert will take place at St
Mary's Church, WendoverTHE CARDINALL'S MUSICK
 Winners
of the Gramophone Magazine's Recording of the Years 2010, the
early music vocal ensemble's performance is entitled Byrd and His
Friends, and includes music by William Byrd, Tallis, Sheppard,
Mundy, Parsons and Ferrabosco. The group were extremely well received
when they performed in Wendover in 2003.
July 09th 2011, 7.30pm, this concert will take place at St
Mary's Church, WendoverGOLDNER STRING QUARTET
 Australia's
leading quartet, with an international repuration, are touring Europe
this summer. Their programme includes music by Bridge, Shostakovich
and Ravel.
